Rime tape
The rim tape protects the inner tube from spoke heads and sharp edges inside the rim. An ill-fitting or worn rim tape can cause recurrent punctures. The rim tape can be made of cotton, rubber or nylon. Several widths are available: 13 mm, 10 mm, 16 mm... up to 22 mm.
