Sakae Ringyo, founded in Japan in the 1950s, quickly established itself as a manufacturer of reliable and affordable bicycle components. It is best known for its aluminium cranksets, stems and handlebars. A major presence on Japanese and American bikes in the 70s and 80s, it was often associated with brands such as Fuji and Nishiki. Sakae was then integrated into the SR group (Sakae Ringyo), becoming SR-Sakae.
