Cyclo, a Swiss brand of bicycles and trailers, was created by Fernand L'Hoste in Porrentruy after 1942. A former professional cyclist with Peugeot, he began manufacturing simple, sturdy bicycles designed for cycle touring and everyday use. The company was born after a fire destroyed the family workshop, prompting Fernand to set up on his own. His unpretentious models appealed mainly to local cyclists and the young people he introduced to competition. Now defunct, Cyclo remains a testament to Swiss post-war bicycle craftsmanship.
