The French brand Méral was founded in 1974 in Touraine, with the aim of offering high-quality bicycles accessible to enthusiasts. It quickly became known for its well-designed touring and road bikes, often compared to ‘cycling haute couture’. In the 1970s and 1980s, Méral became a benchmark for demanding cycle tourists. The brand was sold to Cycles Lejeune in 1985 and gradually disappeared.Since 2019, Méral has been reborn thanks to the French artisan workshop CYFAC, perpetuating the original spirit.
